Vehicle Safety

Vehicle safety technology can be divided into two categories: Active and Passive Safety. Active Safety Technology helps to prevent accidents in advance. Driver assistance systems, for instance, falls into this category.

Passive Safety Technology concerns with equipment that helps mitigating consequences of accidents and protecting occupants as much as possible in the event of an accident.

To check the effect of individual technical options and crashworthiness of the vehicle in the event of an accident, we are using two different methods:

  • Simulation: with finite element method (FEM)
  • Crash Test: with extensive sensor and video capturing technologies, physical crash test can be documented from various perspectives for structural performance evaluation. Human life-sized dummies, equipped with sensors,  are used to capture degree of occupant injury. We support Crash Test Engineer in generating Crash Test Report that covers Occupant Safety and Structural Performance assessment.
