Team Focus: Embedded Systems Malaysia

Today we would like to introduce our Embedded Systems team at Shah Alam/Malaysia,      which is part of our new EE segment “Software & Digitalisation”.

Under the leadership of Herbert Gruber the team was created in October 2021 with our first SW engineers being onboarded in November 2021. Since then the team has grown to a formidable size of 26 SW and HW engineers with further growth planned in 2023/2024. The team has a 40/60 % share of Junior and Senior engineers and 40 % of our team members are female.

Embedded Systems Malaysia is part of the EDAG EE Global Delivery Network. As such the team collaborates with other international EE locations, currently mainly Germany. Other cooperation partners include China and Mexico with the network being expanded as we go forward. With Asian markets growing strongly we are also embracing and developing local business opportunities.

The Embedded Systems team is involved in the development and testing of series Software & Hardware. Project participation in the areas of automotive series development, commercial and agricultural vehicles as well as eMobility provides an interesting and challenging work environment for our engineers. Positive feedback from customers and colleagues underlines their competence, experience and motivation.

Proficient use of core programming languages C, C++, C#, Python, model based Matlab/Simulink/Targetlink, development processes SEP, ASPICE, Functional Safety ISO26262, Altium Designer amongst many other tools round up the teams skillset.

In support of ongoing professional training and development we encourage the exchange of engineering colleagues, currently between Germany and Malaysia.  This process provides technical and project-related training and builds leadership, communication and intercultural skills for our engineers at both locations.

As we strengthen our global EE cooperation more opportunities will be created.
